Seth Binzer, the frontman of the late-1990s rap-rock band Crazy Town, has died at 49. Binzer, who performed under the stage name Shifty Shellshock, was best known for the band's hit single "Butterfly."

According to a report by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, Binzer died on June 24. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Crazy Town rose to fame in 2000 with the release of their debut album, "The Gift of Game." The album featured the hit singles "Butterfly" and "Toxic," which helped to define the rap-rock genre.

Binzer also appeared on two seasons of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab." He was open about his struggles with addiction and mental health issues, and his appearances on the show helped to raise awareness of these issues.

Binzer's death has come as a shock to the music industry. He was remembered by friends and fans as a talented musician and a larger-than-life personality.
